Our new EU factory in Czechia is now operational – and already ISO-certified
What our EU factory means for you
Confitex Technology’s new manufacturing facility in Czechia is up and running – so European retailers and brands can now work with a specialist reusable absorbent hygiene partner that produces inside the EU.
The factory specialises in reusable absorbent hygiene products, including period underwear and incontinence underwear for men and women. It runs multiple automated production lines, giving us flexible, responsive output at scale and the consistency that automated manufacture brings.
Why we're manufacturing in the EU
We built the Czech facility in response to a clear shift in what European retailers and brands are asking for. More of them want nearshored production. Many also want their incontinence products, which are Class 1 medical devices in the EU, manufactured within the EU.
Being centrally located in the European Union gives our clients:
- genuine ‘Made in EU’ labelling
- supply chain resilience and traceability
- shorter lead times
- reduced logistics friction.
Certified from the start
The factory has already been granted ISO 13485 certification for the design and manufacture of Class 1 medical devices. That certification supports our incontinence underwear in the EU and gives our period underwear clients added reassurance on quality.
Part of a vertically integrated business
The Czech factory complements our production facility in Asia, our innovation centre in Thailand and our head office in New Zealand. Our new Chief Operating Officer, Sergio Diaz de Leon, will lead our global factory operations from the Czech factory.
